Some students in our class participated in the Kindness Art Contest last week. They submitted beautiful artwork and I want to congratulate them all for their participation, especially given the short time frame.
I am very happy to announce that Simone's artwork has been chosen as a winner by the Kindness Committee. Congratulations Simone, we are all very proud of you! :) We are trying to learn more about space by researching, reading, and working in groups!
We would like to know... What kind of technology helps astronauts to get ready for a mission in space? Why does the ocean have high tides and low tides? What kind of technology helps us explore space? What are the advantages and disadvantages of exploring space? In the past few weeks, we have been learning about space! Did you know that the astronaut who stayed the longest in space was there for a total of 803 days?
What an interesting video that was! Since all the students in our class have shown interest in a Christmas Chinese gift exchange, we will have a gift exchange on Friday, December 23rd 2016 (last day of school before the holidays). If there are any concerns, students have been advised to notify me as soon as possible.
As a group, we have discussed appropriate non-gender specific gifts for this exchange, the maximum spending price being 10$. Here is the list we came up with: - chocolat chaud (hot chocolate) - toutou (stuffy / plush toy) - bonbons/chocolats (candy / chocolates) - une carte-cadeau parmi les suivantes (Gift Card from one of the following): -Booster Juice -Bulk Barn -Chapters -Chocolat Favoris -Cineplex -Dairy Queen -Dollarama -Giant Tiger -iTunes -Landmark -Mac's -McDonald's -Place d'Orléans -Quickie -Second Cup -Sportchek -Starbucks -Tim Hortons -Toys'R'Us -Visa Prepaid -Walmart You can now follow us on Twitter! :) @mmelabrosse
